The Healthcare Committee met on Thursday, February 8, with a focused discussion centered around American Heart Month. An insightful presentation by Alex Bradford, the Development Director for the American Heart Association (AHA) Heart Walk, delivered eye-opening statistics on the prevalence of cardiovascular disease within our community, affecting 1 in 3 individuals.

During the session, Alex delved into various topics, shedding light on important information such as warning signs for heart attacks and strokes, the influence of social determinants on individual health risks, and the significance of making deliberate and balanced dietary choices.
