We have been working with the Attorney General’s Office on the suspension of Peter Strojnik, the lawyer in the ADA cases against East Valley businesses that caused the East Valley Chambers of Commerce Alliance to run a bill in 2016. After our bill became law, he shifted his practice to filing ADA cases against property holding companies and hotel franchisees in Federal Court in Arizona. We made the AG’s office aware of the practice and I have been in contact with the State Bar.
I am pleased to share that late last week, his license was suspended. This interim suspension is severe and reserved for “the most extreme cases of lawyer misconduct.”
Many of you have been hit by these lawsuits in Federal Court. This is good news for the business community. The suspension order is attached.
