MCOC: How important is Customer Service?
Customer Service is all I have to sell. I am in a service business and if I do not provide my customers with the best possible experience, they will be reluctant to use my services in the future and/or refer someone to me who needs my services. Customer Service goes beyond the either sale or purchase of their home. When my customers have a question after the sale closes, I am there to help them.
MCOC: What's the difference between a Home or House?
A house is a material item constructed on a lot. A home is a place where you have added your personal touches and have things around you that are special and have meaning. A home is full of special memories. Most of all you are surrounded by friends and family. A family makes a house a home by living in it and making it special.
MCOC: What are your first considerations of a prospective homeowner?
When considering the purchase of a home there are several steps one should take, including:
Determine the area or community in which you want to concentrate on your search. Do you want to be close to work, are schools important, or are you looking for a retirement community with recreation amenities.
Know your budget and how much you can afford. A visit with a lender will help you with this decision and supply you with a prequalification letter.
Will you want something requiring less maintenance or looking for a home with potential?
What are your needs vs wants. Size of home, number of bedrooms, size of living area including kitchen, garage spaces, size of yard and how it will be used, pool, and other criteria you might have.
Most importantly engage a Realtor who can help you through all of the above steps and council you on the home buying process. A Realtor will also help you negotiate the best possible terms on the purchase of your home. A Realtor will be there when you sign final documents answering any questions you might have then finally handing you the keys to your home.
