    Job Description
    The Travel industry Sales/Marketing Coordinator position is an integral part of the Visit Mesa Team. The Travel Industry Sales /Marketing Coordinator will be able to effectively manage a full work day supporting all needs required by the Senior VP of Visitor Marketing. This position requires an individual that is enthusiastic, highly motivated, driven and can work autonomously and also embrace an environment that encourages team work. The position focuses on directly supporting Visit Mesa’s Leisure Sales and Marketing efforts. This position will also serve as support for the Mesa Visitors Center, working closely with our Concierge to ensure regular Visitors Center coverage.

    Travel Industry Department:
    • Update and maintain current contact and client information within Simpleview CRM database.
    • Submit non-group service requests and leads to Visit Mesa partners and track responses 
    • Input detailed leads in a timely manner and consistently follow up on all CRM/Leads and traces.
    • Gather production numbers on a monthly basis for TIS activity report.
    • Plan and participate in familiarization tours and site inspections as needed
    • Support meet and greets for client visitation and fam trips as needed 
    • Organize welcome bags, signage and registration for departments as needed
    • Assist with all tradeshows and missions. This relates to pre-planning and follow up
    • Organize timely shipping and tracking of materials for sales missions, and tradeshows
    • Create itineraries based on client requests and supply image galleries based on client request
    • Assist in researching and prospecting new client opportunities as needed
    • Assist with follow up phone calls and emails for new and existing leads 
    • Create a “realtime” tracking report for Travel Industry client room night booking production. Report weekly tracking of all leads and bookings
    • Track all client booking production reports by attaching direct communications with clients to master account file or lead.
    • Review Travel Industry CRM Detailed Booking Reports weekly to correct any errors resulting from data input
    • Update posted weekly booking and leads on master board in SVP office
    • Process expense reports as requested
    • Work closely with direct report to establish expectations and timelines for requested projects
    • Set up training sessions with hotel partners related to contracting, trends, and new prospective client updates
    Marketing Department:
    • Using photo gallery/database, and related training messages to create power point presentations as needed
    • Attend workshops and webinars related to Marketing efforts and Simpleview operations and updates
    • Respond to and mail client sales material requests
    • Develop a Marketing campaign tracking system that includes detailed drop dates, creative, and top line analytics for both digital and print campaigns. Cross reference 302 reporting
    • Attend bi-monthly staff meetings and weekly sales meetings
    • Build and maintain positive working relationship with partners, staff and clients
    • Review Visit Mesa website and report any issues directly to Manager of Website
    • Review Digital Marketing partner Dashboard results in real time with Direct Report
    • Participate on select committees related to Visit Mesa Strategic Plan
    • Maintain a working knowledge of Visit Mesa’s marketing and branding efforts
    • Familiarize yourself with all partners and their products
    • Keep current on all activities and events related to our regional partners Gilbert, Queen Creek,  Tribal Partners, Tonto National Forest and Apache Trail attractions
    • Schedule meetings with VM partners to familiarize yourself with their unique products
    Additional Duties:
    • Serve as support for the Visit Mesa Welcome Center
    • Assist in production of monthly activity reports for both Travel Industry and Marketing Departments as needed
    • Assist in annual budget creation by tracking expenditures, in “real time” with in Trinet Expense platform
    • Respect management timelines
    • Attends regular management and sales meetings (weekly) and system trainings, when assigned.
    • Other duties as assigned
    The Travel Industry Sales/Marketing Coordinator is expected to adhere to all Visit Mesa rules of employment as described in the employee manual. All duties are subject to change.
    A minimum of two years’ experience working in hospitality sales or Digital Marketing industries is strongly recommended. Knowledge of Digital Marketing Dashboard tools is preferred. Strong sales acumen and business follow-up skills are required.  Professional and proactive communication skills are a must with direct report, clients and partners.  Self-starter, highly motivated and independent worker within a team environment are required.  Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint required; Knowledge of Adobe applications is recommended. Strong writing and verbal communications are expected. 
    Full time, non-exempt position with full health benefits, as well as 401K opportunity
    Salary compensation (DOE)
    Required schedule: Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM, minimal evening & weekend hours required
