    JOB PURPOSE AND REPORTING STRUCTURE: Under the direction of the Production Manager and Team Shift Leader, the Logistics Coordinator/Truck Driver/Material Handler ensures that raw materials are staged for production, verifies and processes incoming shipments according to departmental procedures, distributes materials to all departments and puts materials into the proper storing locations. The Shipping/Receiving Coordinator prepares customer orders for shipping according to customer specifications, ensure product meets company quality standards, and loads trucks according to established procedures and shipping regulations and drives company vehicles for the purpose of delivering the product to its end destination.  
    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
    • Move required materials from inventory to equipment to maintain daily press schedule.
    • Prepare stock issuance forms and aid in inventory control.
    • Unload trucks as needed and check materials against packing slips and purchase order specifications.
    • Move products and incoming materials to proper location using a forklift, hand truck, and/or hoist.
    • Determine proper packing requirements to ensure the safe handling of products and meeting of customer specifications.
    • Package material according to established procedures.
    • Load trucks.
    • Coordinate Federal Express and UPS shipments.
    • Organize and maintain all supplies for the department, re-ordering as needed.
    • Drive our non-CDL and delivery van truck to make deliveries.
    • Maintain all vehicles and equipment they are responsible for.
    • Processes USPS postal paperwork according the DMM rules and regulations.
    • Aid on the production line when needed.
    • Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations. Maintain departmental housekeeping standards.
    Inspect fork lift trucks, vehicles, generators, ensuring proper operating condition. Troubleshoot minor problems, notify supervisor of major problems.
    PROTECTIVE CLOTHING/EQUIPMENT REQUIRED: Requires the use of safety shoes, protective clothing.

    QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.     EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Requires four years of high school and one to three years related experience; or a combination of education and experience.
    LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend instructions in English, shipping orders, customer specifications, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to prepare standard shipping documentation, and USPS paperwork. Ability to effectively communicate to carriers and other employees of the organization.
    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
    REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
    CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Requires the ability to obtain a forklift operator's license. Class C License with no infractions within 7 years. Must provide copy of Motor Vehicle Record.
    OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Requires the ability to operate forklift and other manual lift equipment. Requires the ability to operate a variety of standard business machines, such as a computer and keyboard, a calculator, telephone, FAX, photocopier, etc.
