Your contribution is invested carefully in programs proven to work. Mesa United Way focuses on four areas of need: Basic Needs: Ensuring hungry families receive food boxes, children are clothed and fed, and abused women and children find a shelter safe from violence. Education: Ensuring Mesa youth develop important social and educational skills through quality after-school services, mentoring programs, parenting skills, and leadership training. Health: Providing the tools - physical and emotional therapy, technology and job training - for children and families with special needs to lead independent, productive and meaningful lives. Self-Reliance: Allowing the elderly, individuals with disabilities, and families experiencing economic hardship to maintain as much self-sufficiency as possible.
