Paz De Cristo has been in operation since 1988 and began as a ministry of St. Timothy's Catholic Community. The Dining Room serves a hot and nutritious meal from 5:30pm to 6: 45pm, and typically serves between 180 to 260 persons at dinner 365 days a year. In addition, food boxes are available to the needy on the 2nd Tuesday and 4th Saturday of each month. Clothing items are typically available each day, and personal hygiene items are available at the Friday meal service. Paz De Cristo sometimes has a limited supply of diapers and formula, but it is best to call ahead for those items. Paz De Cristo also provides community referrals for housing and medical care.
Paz de Cristo has been providing food to the homeless and working poor for over 23 years. At Paz de Cristo, feeding the hungry every day of the year requires money and vast amounts of food! We depend on the combined financial support of individuals, faith-based groups, community-based organizations, corporations and foundations that allows us to serve over 250 evening meals daily and to provide over 1300 food boxes a month.Ninety-three cents of every dollar will be used to feed as many hungry people as possible. Your contributions also fund operations that include equipment, appliances/supplies, and maintenance that are essential components of daily meal service and food box programs. The homeless and working poor are welcomed at Paz by volunteers each evening from5:30pm until 6:45pmfor a balanced, nutritious hot meal. During the hot summer months, Paz also serves as a community water station.
