The Mesa East Valley Technology Council welcomed Diane Meza, Director of the Maricopa Internet Technology Institute- East Valley as the presenter for their March 2022 meeting.

Diane Shared three stories that form the backbone of the organization’s work, including their Technopreneur Experience, workforce training and retention through CTE and a focus on the future of work.

The Technopreneur experience leverages partnership from the Mesa Chamber of Commerce to members of the local business community to create an experience forming the foundation of the Mesa “Digital Economy”. Elements of the program include community app development, creating meaningful entrepreneurship experiences and engaging Mesa’s local businesses to embrace the digital economy.

She shared how the organization leverages partnerships and other community college programs such as the Green Flag Mesa entrepreneur program to create a holistic environment to train and develop and creative, technically advanced workforce. She shared specific case examples of businesses that her organization has build custom training to support and improve.
