How to volunteer and help recognize veterans and service members in our community
Be Part of Honoring Our Heroes!
As part of this initiative, the Mesa Chamber of Commerce Business in Education Foundation is supporting the upcoming Hometown Heroes Banner Return Ceremony on Friday, November 20. The ceremony provides an opportunity to return banners to the service members they honor, offering a meaningful way to recognize their service.
Community members interested in supporting the event are invited to volunteer and help make the ceremony a memorable experience. Volunteer responsibilities include event setup, participant check-in, handling and rolling banners, and presenting the banners to the individuals they honor.
Honoring Mesa’s Hometown Heroes: The Hometown Heroes Banner Program
The Mesa Chamber of Commerce is proud to support the Hometown Heroes Banner Program, an initiative that recognizes the veterans and active-duty service members who have dedicated themselves to serving our country.
Through this program, personalized banners honor local service members, celebrating their commitment and sacrifice while creating a visible reminder of the individuals who have served our nation. Each banner represents an opportunity for the community to express its gratitude and recognize the people behind the uniform.
By bringing these tributes into the community, the Hometown Heroes Banner Program helps ensure that the service and contributions of Mesa’s veterans and service members are recognized and remembered.
