Mesa’s Asian District flourishes as city campaign embraces, celebrates diversity
"The vibrant heart of West Mesa beats with the energy of more than 100 Asian-based businesses, whose owners say celebrating their cultures is paying off in both community spirit and economic growth. Late last year, the city launched an ambitious campaign to attract tourists to the Asian District. Economic development leaders unveiled new signs and decorative banners along Dobson Road, branding the area as “Asian District Mesa-AZ.” The move has given the district a more visible shine and signaled Mesa’s commitment to promoting the neighborhood’s rich cultural offerings."

"Explore Arizona’s past in this six-part speaker series, featuring scientists covering geology, paleontology, and anthropology from ancient times to today.
The series kicks off with Dr. Grant Boardman presenting Devonian Deep Diving State 48: A Comprehensive History of Arizona in the Age of Fishes."
New tuition-free charter high school to open at Arizona Athletic Grounds
"NEWS Point Academy, a new tuition-free public charter high school, will open in Fall 2026 at Arizona Athletic Grounds in Mesa. Dr. Melanie Larson, Dean of Schools, and Jim Sigman, Principal, stopped by to tell us about this brand-new educational option for families across Mesa and surrounding communities seeking a high-quality, college-preparatory experience in a unique setting. NEWS Point Academy will initially serve students in Grades 9 and 10, with plans to grow into a full four-year high school. "
AZ StRUT: E-Waste Drop-Off Made Easy
"At AZ StRUT, donated devices are securely wiped, then passed to students for hands-on repair and tech training. From there, refurbished devices are redistributed to nonprofits and community members who need them most. Anything that can’t be reused is responsibly recycled—keeping harmful materials out of landfills and valuable resources in use."
