The January 2024 Future of Retail Mesa (F.o.R.M.) meeting provided a great foundation for the start of the new year and the work that the Chamber intends to do to support our retail community. Chamber staff liaison Bob Nelson provided Chamber updates on new staff and renewed focus on developing a retail identity for the business community in Mesa. Joining the meeting, Elyce Gobat with the City of Mesa Economic Development Office shared updates on their work with The Retail Coach, a consulting firm hired to help attract more signature retail to Mesa.

Bob shared updates on partnerships the Chamber is developing for retail with existing Chamber members and entrepreneurs, and plans to build a survey to collect relevant retail data from our existing business community.

Alan Beveridge, representing Mesa Community College, also suggested collecting data to determine if there are educational opportunities around retail, such as a retail management certificate or other pathways.

The next Future of Retail Mesa (F.o.R.M.) meeting will be Wednesday, February 7th at 8am. Interested businesses may RSVP from the Mesa Chamber Calendar.
