About

The Red Mountain Branch of the Mesa Public Library System is located in the east part of town at 635 N. Power Rd.. Originally named the East Mesa Branch Library, its original location was in a storefront at Sossamon and University Roads and totaled 5200 square feet. The branch relocated to a dedicated building in 1994, which was then expanded in 2003 to 52,000 square feet. The community served includes a large population on retired and seasonal visitors who primarily use the library in the winter months between January and April. The Red Mountain Branch offers a variety of programs to the community, including family story times, crafts for children, E-reader instructional classes, book discussions, author visits, and other education and informational events. A state grant funds the Job Help Hub, which provides job related classes, computer laptops, and support for the unemployed.
